Team members begin the layout and first courses of a masonry wall for a building that will become
home to a sporting goods retailer. The 10” block walls are reinforced with #5 rebar every 16” O.C. and
grouted solid. Once the block masonry walls have been completed, the walls will be veneered with face
brick and cast stone accents.

Commercial project under construction on Lincoln Avenue consisting of first floor retail stores and condominiums. Because of the brick veneer on the East and West elevations, scaffolding was erected atop overhead canopies for all four floors. Materials were loaded onto the scaffolding using an all-terrain material forklift.

Commercial project consisting if exterior 10" load bearing walls built using 4" utility face brick and 6" CMU back-up. Our primary concern on the job site is safety. This picture helps illustrate some of the precautions taken on the job site. Note that everyone is wearing hard hats. Guard posts and rails are in place at the top of the scaffolding. Scaffolding is fully planked on the working platform.

Work-in-progress for a park shelter building in Deerfield, Illinois. The project scope of work included erecting masonry columns and washroom facilities. The project incorporated the use of several colors and sizes of brick along with concrete block and cut limestone.

Preparations begin for installing 2” bluestone slabs at front entrance landing and walkway of this new
residence. Through the years Chicago Masonry Construction, Inc. has developed relationships with
a multitude of material suppliers across the United States. These relationships allow us to procure
materials at considerable discounts and pass the savings on to our clients.
